Management of Regenesis Regenesis is managed by a Board of Directors, which currently has eight directors. The Board executes the financial and legal matters according to the Constitution. It meets once a month. It currently consists of the following directors:
Anthony Harris [Chairperson Of Board] Experienced business operator in construction, property and finance, formed the Money Store in 1988 and recently sold to a public company and is now General Manager governing a franchise network. Holds a building degree from Universityof Technology B. App. Sc(Build). Associate of Mortgage Industry. Associate of Australia. Associate of Australian Property Institute (formerly Valuers & Land economists). Affiliate of Securities Institute of Australia . Graeme Le Roux [Treasurer] Graham Le Roux has been consulting to the legal profession for the past 10 years. During this time he has worked with Top 6 firms, small and medium sized law firms across the country. He specialises in productivity and effectiveness practices and in particular helps firms to identify and refine strategic direction. Currently he is the CEO of Kells the Lawyers in Wollongong. Graham has been a General Manager in law firms, Internal Audit Manager of a major multinational company. In addition he is an Australian Quality Award evaluator and a founding member of QIL (now QL).Originally from Zimbabwe Graham is based in Sydney.
Cheryl Assauge Cheryl is a psychotherapist and Director of Life Connect in North Sydney. She been in private practice for over 16 years working with individuals, couples and families. Cheryl's background is in nursing and is experienced in mainstream rehabilitation for addiction.
Benjamin Cherry M.A.LawCambridgeUniversity; UK1st MB (science) BirminghamUniversity; UK Dip Ed Bathurst University NSW. Correspondent for Far Eastern Economic Revue in Vietnam(during the war). Teacher for over 20 years. Co founder with his wife of Bowral Rudolf Steiner School, 19 years ago. Teacher Trainer in various countries in Asia. Lecturer, writer, co-author of “Of Pandas and Wandering Geese” based on experiences in Vietnam, China and Tibet. Widely travelled in many parts of the world. Currently teaching high school class at Bowral Rudolf Steiner School.
Jaap van der Haar Jaap founded ARTA a therapeutic community for addiction in Holland developed out of the Lievegoed stream of therapeutic communities. Jaap van der Haar was director of ARTA for 25 years and recently became director of IVAES the umbrella group for anthroposophical initiatives in therapeutic communities for treatment of addiction. Jaap resides in Holland and travells regularly to Australia to support Regenesis in its continuing development.
Michael Cohen Medically qualified specialist pathologist MB., B.S. FRCPA MAACB. Member of several international professional academic institutions. Worked in the biotechnology sector for some yrs. Has recently returned to specialist pathology practice.
Graeme Harvey Bach. Elect. Eng.Universityof WA. Worked in field of production management in metal industry 20 yrs. Management consultant with social ecology associates in field of organisational development for further 14 yrs. Past 10 years focusing on consultancy work in field of education, facilitating vision building, team development and conflict management.
Karen Mundell B.A.Psych, MaquarieUniversity; Masters in Counselling, UWS. Counsellor and psychotherapist for 12 yrs. Currently employed TAFE NSW as Careers and Personal Counsellor. Also currently employed with Southern Highlands Bereavement Care Service as Grief Counsellor, as well as counsellor in private practice.
Management Team In addition to the Board there is a Management Team, which manages the program on a day to day basis, provides program direction, and coordinates the operations. It meets fortnightly. Its current members are:
Karla Cryer (Program Manager, Counsellor) Master of Arts, Psychology. She is a NSW registered psychologist with 23years experience in the area of alcohol and other drugs abuse and rehabilitation. She worked in group homes for young offenders; then establishing groups and individual programs for a community centre in Vancouver; has worked for Maitland Women’s Centre, Department of Corrective Services and Vietnam Veterans Counselling Service. She has been lecturing in psychology and offering adult education courses both overseas and in Australia for many years.
Adam Chan (Operational Manager, Counsellor) Graduate Dip. in Applied Counselling, UWS, Dip. Eurythmy, Adam has worked as Eurythmy teacher and performer with children, adults, elderly and those with addictions and disabilities, as well as facilitating workshops. He has 3 years counselling experience in D&A rehabilitation.
Bettina Hartmann (Finance & HR Manager) She trained in Germany and has the equivalent to an Australian Associate Diploma in Accounting. Bettina has worked in Finance and Accounting since 1989, both for Chartered Accountants and corporate businesses on a senior and management level.
